Spicy Olive Burgers w/ Seasoned Steak Potatoes

Alright is everyone ready for this?!?  I had a lot of fun with this one, not only is this my first official food related post but my daughter who is three helped me with cooking.  So here we go and enjoy.  Remember, have fun with cooking and take chances; you never know what will come out in the end.

Seasoned Streak Potatoes

1/2 cup of olive oil
1 cup of water
3-4 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
1 Tbs of sea salt
1 tsp of pepper
1 Tbs of Chicago steak seasoning
1 tsp crushed red pepper
8 rustic potatoes sliced in wedges

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Spray a large baking sheet with cooking spray.  In a large bowl combine all of the above ingredients.  Spread your potato mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet.  Bake potatoes for 30 minutes.  Remove from the oven and turn the potatoes over, if the baking sheet is dry, add a little bit of water to the pan. Bake for another 30 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Spicy Olive Burgers

1 lb hot Italian sausage
1 lb ground beef
1/2 yellow onion
1 clove minced garlic
1 tsp Chicago steak seasoning
1 tsp seasoning salt
6 pretzel rolls (I used the recipe from this site: http://theapronarchives.com/2012/01/23/pretzel-bread,/, of course you can just buy some from your local grocery store.)

Combine the sausage, beef, onion, garlic and seasonings in a large bowl.  Make six patties and then grill them to your liking.

So I'm a dope and forgot to take pictures of the patties, this
is my daughter helping me add ingredients to the patty mixture.

Olive Sauce

1 tsp Chili pepper paste
1/2 c mayonnaise
1/2 c green onions

Combine above ingredients.

Assemble your burgers and enjoy! PS, don't try to be my husband and contemplate on eating three burgers and steak potatoes.  Just say no and walk away.  That way you can have left overs for lunch the next day and make all your co workers jealous.  Well, I'm off to explore new foods and I'll be back next week with another original from me, and stay posted in between I might throw something fun out there...like dessert.
